Happy Easter!

We had a great Easter day today. Hunter and Lexi loved their Easter baskets. We then had breakfast at our house with Tina, Emma, and Grandma Rebecca. The we got dressed up and went to church. Which they were both pretty good for most of it. Lexi didn't even scream when Pastor Tim blessed her during communion. Then we went to Grandma and Grandpa Swanson's house for the Johnson Family dinner. The kids are so cute together. I ended up taking Lexi home around 1pm so she could get a quick nap before we went to Great Grandma and Grandpa Scott's house. Hunter stayed to do the Easter egg hunt at grandma's with daddy. Unfortunately when she woke up she had a 101 temp and we didn't end up going. Hunter got to go with Aunt Tina and Uncle Ryan though. All in all we had a great day! Hope everyone else did too.

NEW FLASH

Well for those of you who don't know it has been a very hard time getting Hunter to go poop in the big toilet! He got out of the bath last night and said he had to poop. I said ok get up there and try. He got up and down off the toilet messing around in the bathroom while I got Lexi dressed. Finally I said if you have to poop you need to sit on the toilet (I did not dress him or put the pull up on because once I did that he would have pooped his pants). About 5 minutes later I checked and he had ran back to the bathroom to sit down. Then he did it he finally pooped in the potty!! Lexi and I made such a big deal about it clapping and yelling "good job" and from Lexi "yeah bubba". I also kept telling him over and over all night how proud I was of him. Hopefully this encourges him and he keeps it up. Keep your fingers crossed!

Big Girl Bed

Lexi now has a big girl bed in her room too! We decided to put it up and see how she does with it tonight. Well it is now 8:53pm and she is sleeping in her crib. She is a really good sleeper (puts herself to sleep and sleeps over 8 hours) but tonight she cried and screamed she was not ready for the big girl bed yet. We are going to start with naptime and slowly get into the bed. She loves Tinerbell and thought she was hot stuff in it earlier today.

The Amazing Spiderbaby

Lexi decided she wanted to try on Hunter's Spiderman costume. It was the funniest thing ever.

Bathtime

Daddy was doing bathtime this time and he decided to give them devil horns (which of course they are perfect little angels) so I hurried and got the camera. They are very cute devils.

Potty Time

We are having a really hard time getting Hunter potty trained on going #2 in the big potty, he will go #1 but it is getting old of cleaning up the other messes. We keep telling him he is almost 4 and his sister will be completely potty trained before him. He hates that and then tries to go. So one day when he wouldn't go I put Lexi on the potty, she had said "yes" she wanted to sit on it. Of course once she was on it she cried! She finally stopped long enough when I gave her the My Little Ponies.

Lexi finally smiling thinking she is a big girl. After she tried the potty we left the bathroom. I was looking for her because she was quite and when I took this picture she gave me the look like "oh no I've been caught". Verry funny.

Playroom Playtime

Well the playroom walls are not painted yet but they don't care they play anyway. Here are some pictures of them enjoying the playroom. It is so nice not to have this in their rooms or the living room anymore!! They make such a mess in so little time!

Well I just got a new camera so my poor kids had to take several pictures tonight to try it out and see how we liked it.

My two little hams. I made them sit and get a quick picture before bed tonight! Hunter didn't want to sit next to Lexi, he wanted to wrestle with her. Right after this picture he had her in a headlock and she was yelling at him. I should have taken a picture of that.

Aunt Erin decided to put Lexi's wall decorations on her (they are actually made to play with but I was going to decorate with them) and she was the cutest butterfly I have ever seen.

Were In!

Well we are finally in our new home! We are slowly moving the little stuff from the old house still, I want to go throught it and toss most of the stuff we didn't use or don't need anymore. Here are some of the pics.

This is the family/game room downstairs. Pretty much this is Dirk's area. We gave the sectional couch/tv then behind that is the pool table and he will put the dart board up. We were going to paint the walls but have decided this fall to put drywall up, it will keep the heat in better.


This is our entry from the front door. Dirk told me it looks like Cheryl's house, which it does.

Our dining room. We haven't moved the roll of padding from the corner yet because Tabby scratches on it! She is getting declawed this week because she clawed and tore up the carpet in the basement of the old house. I really don't want to have to hurt her if she ruins this carpet.

Kitchen, it is never ending I feel like I have unpacked boxes forever. We are still working on finding a place for everything, I hate the clutter on the counters while this process is being done. I love that we all eat at the island for dinner as a family!

Update

Well I thought I would update you all on how the house is coming.. we have all the carpet in the whole house done finally!! Dirk and some of the guys have been moving stuff in little by little this week. We are hoping to spend our first night in the house on Friday!! As soon as we get settled I will take some pictures and post them for everyone.

As you know my kids don't sit still too long for pictures. Thanks to Katie I got this picture of Lexi in her xmas dress. I just had to share it cuz she looks too cute, and like she is up to no good. Thanks again Katie!!

New Years 2008

We had the West's come over for New Years to eat and let the kids play. I guess the adults played some games too.

Tina playing bowling on Wii. She is so funny. She won at bowling and I won at darts! We got into the games so much that when we were playing tennis I hit her with the remote on accident, sorry Tina!

They all wanted to play on the chairs. Lexi of course thinks she has to stand on them like her big brother does. Monkey see Monkey do! Here Lexi was trying to get Emma to stand on them and poor Emma kept getting in trouble by Tina for doing it.

Helpers

Hunter and Lexi picked up these tools and wanted to help work. I asked them both to turn around and say "cheese", and for once they both listened at the same time! They are starting to look more and more alike. What hams.

Kitchen Playtime

Well I just have to share this story with everyone. My sister got this kitchen set (kitchen and table/chairs) for Emma for Christmas. She paid almost $300.00 for it. She then saw it this past weekend at Sams Club for $99.00. She called and asked if I wanted it, I said ok. She talked to the workers there and the only one left was the floor model but they didn't know if they had the accessories (utensils, pans, and food). They said they would look for them. A guy came over and said that he would knock it down to $50.00 for her and they would take our name and number if they found the accessories. Dirk and I went on saturday to pick it up and guess what they found the missing pieces!! So we got this whole set for only $50. I was so proud of the deal we got!! Thank you Tina!!

The kitchen makes sound when you cook on the stove and the microwave makes sounds like it is working. It has a fridge, oven, sink, countertop with a stool, and lots of cuboards!Lexi and Hunter cooking mommy some food, and it was tasty!! They have so much fun with this.

Lexi's Playtime

Lexi loved all of ther Christmas presents. She has been playing all morning and she didn't want to take a nap.

Here she had dragged her baby over to her chair got in and then pulled the baby onto her lap to snuggle with her. She is such a good little mommy!!

Christmas Morning

The kids had a great Christmas..they got way too much like always! Here are a few from this morning.

Hunter has a GeoTrax Train set . He got the planes to go with it now! He loved it.
Lexi got her own little princess chair with ottoman. It is going to look so cute in her new room at the new house. She sat in it all morning!
