Kitchen Playtime

Well I just have to share this story with everyone. My sister got this kitchen set (kitchen and table/chairs) for Emma for Christmas. She paid almost $300.00 for it. She then saw it this past weekend at Sams Club for $99.00. She called and asked if I wanted it, I said ok. She talked to the workers there and the only one left was the floor model but they didn't know if they had the accessories (utensils, pans, and food). They said they would look for them. A guy came over and said that he would knock it down to $50.00 for her and they would take our name and number if they found the accessories. Dirk and I went on saturday to pick it up and guess what they found the missing pieces!! So we got this whole set for only $50. I was so proud of the deal we got!! Thank you Tina!!
The kitchen makes sound when you cook on the stove and the microwave makes sounds like it is working. It has a fridge, oven, sink, countertop with a stool, and lots of cuboards!Lexi and Hunter cooking mommy some food, and it was tasty!! They have so much fun with this.

House update

The pictures below aren't great because I took them with my phone, but you get the idea of the progress.
Bathrooms just need a couple more little things and the carpet can go in! YEAH!
Thanks to Ryan we have the tile started. He has it put down and drying then we grout and all that! He had to place those little white spacers everywhere. We appreciate all the hard work Ryan!!

Another Deer

Dirk got another deer!! Hunter had to go and check it out. Everytime Dirk gets one Hunter thinks he shot it, then he likes to ask to go fishing. What a funny kid!
Hunter holding the deer. It was cold in the shed so he had to wear daddy's big gloves!

Biker Chic

Lexi loves riding the bike that was Hunter's. She looks so tough in nothing but her diaper! She is such a goofy girl!

Decorating for Christmas

Since this is our last year in this house we did more decorating than usual. Dirk did the icecycle lights, and lets not forget he put the MAJOR AWARD in the window!! My mom and I did the rest. It turned out pretty good. We had to beat the Griswolds next door for our last year. Their yard decorations are almost the same as ours!! We are going to miss them..

Finding a Christmas Tree

Dirk and I were going to get a real xmas tree this year for the new house. Well we aren't in the new house yet so we decided to use one of my moms old fake ones. It looked like the Charlie Brown xmas tree and we weren't happy with it. We decided to get a real one. We got the real one home and it was a little tall so we cut the bottom shorter. It took some of the branches from the bottom off and it ended up looking like a short fat tree in the end. It was a learning experience for us both, we now know next year what not to do and what to look for in a tree. Very funny.

MAJOR AWARD

Well it's that time of year again....as the kids and I were busy decorating the tree Dirk was busy getting out his major award!! He was like a kid in a candy store.... he counts down the minutes until he can get this out every year. Next year we will be by the highway and he is so looking forward to that. Hunter of course walked up to it and rubbed it like Ralphie. The kids and I were getting ready this morning for work/school and I heard a crash.... I thought oh no it was the lamp...it was and luckily it was ok. I told Hunter that if Dad came home and this was broke he would say we used all of the glue on purpose. He didn't know what the meaning of that was but laughed anyways, we then had a discussion about not going near the lamp. It was like the scene in the movie.....funny stuff.

Dirk's Deer

Dirk finally got to go hunting and he got a deer today! He came home so the kids could see it. Hunter of course loved it and had to go with daddy to the processor in Genesio. I tried not to get anything bad in the photos. The kids were not scared of the deer. They had to touch it so of course when we came inside there was hand washing and sanatizing.

Family Photo time at Sears

We gathered all of us at Sears today to get family pics. The kids did pretty good considering Hunter doesn't listen too well and Lexi cries when people look at her. She has teeth coming in so she wouldn't take her finger out of her mouth. When I tried pulling it out she cried so we let her do what she wanted. All in all they turned out pretty good.
The Swanson's
The whole family
(the guys were joking and took one on this kiddie sled. We decided to give them the kids and then Tina and I ran behind to take a picture real quick. It turned out pretty cute.)

Madagascar 2

Tina and I took Hunter to see his first movie in a theater. He loved it. As soon as we got into view of the theater he started to get excited! We got there alittle early so we could get seats in the front. First we went into the theater and got our seats and took a few quick pics before people got there. Tina and him then went to get popcorn and soda. I of course packed a few snacks in my bag along with juice boxes, soda would keep him up all night! They came back with the goodies and the movie started soon after. He did pretty good. We took a potty break after awhile and on our way to the bathroom he saw the games. It took me a couple of minutes to get him back to the movie. He then told me later he had to go potty again, this was a trick, he thought he was smarter than mommy and that this would get him to the games again. It didn't work! Well he started to get antsy at the end but we made it through the whole thing! Oh and on the way out he tried to go into other movies, thanks to aunt Na who was quick he didn't make it. All in all we had a fun trip today. My baby is growing up.

Emma and Lexi's Playtime

Emma came over to play with Lexi today. They like to argue over toys. We finally got this bike of Hunter's out (it is a rocker -then you can ride it with out the bottom like a bike.) Of course they both wanted to be on it so we here they are. Of course the sharing doesn't last long. Emma tried to push Lexi off. It was funny.

Playing in the Leaves

It was such a nice day saturday that we went over to Aunt Tina's to play in the leaves.

Heading over to Aunt Tina's house. It was nice out but you know my kids and getting sick easily. We put hats on just to protect those ears.

Hunter throwing the leaves

Trick or Treat

We had a busy night of trick-or-treating. The kids were exhaused when we got home. They loved the goodies everyone gave them and will have fun with them tomorrow. Hunter's favorite part was being "Papa". He thought he was cool stuff. Especially when he got to show him his own squad car with flashing lights.
Hunter "state trooper". Lexi "elephant"
My little cute elephant.

My little trooper. He loved dressing up as papa!!

This is Hunter's squad car. His lights flashed red and all! By the time we took this picture we had one of the lights fall off. The license plate on the car was "7-50 1/2". Papa loved it. He is coming by tomorrow in his uniform and the real squad car so him and hunter can take a picture next to it with both their outfits on!!
