Daddy Daughter Dance 2016

Well I forgot to order the corsage for Peanut so we got flowers and made our own.  Was a little big but turned out ok :)

 I made these pins for her hair and then followed one of the youtube videos to put her hair up.  Love how it turned out!!

Northern Illinois State Meet 2016

Super proud of Peanut for getting 4th at State this year.  She was so nervous which is not normal for her.  I thought she was either going to puke or biff it bad because she got into her own head.  She did great but had a step at the end of her first pass which brought her score down:(  Our motto was just qualify for Nationals LOL. So she did!! We are headed to Knoxville Tennessee in June!!!

Monmouth Meet

Lexi took 2nd place at the Monmouth meet.  She had her best front pass score at this meet.  Super proud of this girl and all the hard work she does.  Next up STATE!!

Hunter's 1st Turkey!!

Hunter was so excited this year to go Turkey hunting with Grandpa Carl.  I was so shocked to be woken up by Dirk 2 hours into the hunting time to the words "Hunter got one and it is a nice one".  I was so excited for him!!  As I took Lexi to tumbling I couldn't stand the excitement waiting for the pics to come from Dirk.  Hunter ended up shooting a 22lb turkey!  Super proud of this boy and can't wait for him to hopefully get his first deer this year!

Hunter and Grandpa Carl.  The gun used was originally Uncle Otha's.  Then it has been used by Grandpa Carl, Dirk, and now Hunter.  It is a family gun and such a special thing for all the Swanson boys to use!
