Fishing

The kids love to go fishing so Tina and I take them as often as we can...which ends up being like once a week.  This year I have finally taken my first fish off..even though I used a glove!  By doing this it makes it easier to go without the boys.  We do count on them to help clean them though because I haven't gotten that down yet....baby steps.  Here are some of our fishing trips.

Hunter's big bass

not a great picture but papa was helping Hunter get his big bass in

the very first fish I ever took off all by myself.

Weekend at the Cabin

Until we build our cabin (which is hopefully next year) we spend weekends at Grandma and Grandpa Swanson's cabin.  The kids love it and so do we.  We swim, fish, ride 4-wheelers, and just hang out with friends.

snuggle time with Mommy!!  My favorite time of the night.

Uncle Jon gave the kids a ride on the mule

every year it takes Lexi awhile to get used to jumping off of the dock.  This year she didn't want to and Dirk got up there and pushed her off.  Boy did that tick her off and she didn't go to the dock again until the next day.

 watching for the mommy deer.

After the kids came back from playing with friends up the hill we saw this baby deer by my van.  The kids were 3ft away from it!  It was so amazing to see and watch.  I told the kids they will probably never get that close to one again.  Of course Hunter said he would when he goes hunting and shoots one.

Hunter turns 7!!

My baby boy has turned 7.  My how time goes by.  Hunter got 2 cakes this year.  Grandma Becca wanted him to have 1 on his birthday and then she made another for the get together.

Hunter's cake for the party.  Grandma did a great job making the cake!

Hunter and Lexi got a trampoline to share for their birthdays this year.  So far they love it.  Hunter even does front flips on it (which makes me very nervous).

Visit to the Putnam

The kids wanted to see the Dino exhibit at the Putnam so away we went on a saturday.  After the Putnam we decided to go to Jungle Bungle and eat pizza and play.  It was a great day spent with the kids.

the kids loved that they could dig or brush for dino bones.

 ready for fun

Lexi's face is priceless because the dino's just started moving and roaring and she was scared out of her mind.

Lexi acting like the T-Rex was eating her head, LOL

 loved the Polar Bears

Our monkeys in the tree :)

 Me and my favorite people!

Jungle Bungle serves Happy Joe's pizza and we love it!!!

Uncle Ben is back

Ben was back for a few days in May!  He is spending his 3wk summer vacation in Morocco for his Air Force Academy Arabic class.  Not much time to spend with him but we will take what we can.  Hunter was so excited because he finally had a boy around.  We also got to meet Ele, Bens new girlfriend.  She was very nice and it was a great visit.  We were sorry to see him go back.

We picked up Ben and then went to dinner.  Hunter was so glad he finally had a guy around.

Grandma Becca wanted a picture but Lexi wasn't really wanting one.
