Feeding the baby

Emma was over for playtime again! We kept telling Lexi to feed her baby, meaning her babydoll. Emma took this as feed Lexi (since she is smaller she thinks Lexi is the baby). She kept sharing her bottle but wouldn't tip it back to let Lexi get anything. It was funny to watch.
Feeding Lexi with the bottle.
They looked at us like "what we aren't doing anything wrong". What a goofy face my daughter is making:)

Dinner Time!

Lexi enjoyed her Ravioli tonight. As you can tell by the pictures below she is a messy eater and gets down to buisness!

Lexi before she really dug in!

Lexi after she was done eating. Needless to say she needed a bath after this dinner!

Update

Well the driveway is done and we have a front sidewalk with steps to the porch. Like I said before we will finish the railing in the spring for the porch. My goal is to get us in by Xmas, hopefully before that! Carl has been spreading the dirt around the yard and it looks better because it is not all that clay crap. We will still have to get more dirt later. All in all it is looking like a home and we can't wait to get in it!!!

Swanson Cookout

We had the annual Swanson Cookout at the farm. The weather was nice for it tonight but lots of bugs out (poor Tessa). Hunter rode around on his 4-wheeler and loved it. He also was impressed with all of Aaron's corn! We used Grandpa and Grandmas lantern and were going to take a walk but once we started down the dark road Hunter didn't like the dark so much, which was ok because I didn't either but I wasn't going to tell him that. We got an update on Tiger aka Freddie from Diane. Hunter felt better knowing he was ok. (Tiger was the kitten we had hanging around our new house and we fed him because someone had dumped him. Diane took him in and he is getting bigger) All in all it was a good night and the kids were exhausted when we got home and went right to bed!!
Lexi snuggling with Tabby.
Lexi's hair afte her pigtails were taken out. She reminds me of Barf from Spaceballs! Ha Ha!

House Cleaning/progress update

This weekend I got to clean the new house for the first time. We had to clean all the mess from the builders/electricians in order for the insulation to be blown in today. We didn't want the shavings from the wood in the walls. Let me tell you that was a chore to get cleaned up, but I loved every minute of it. (It means we are getting closer to moving in) They should blow the insulation in today and put the fiber glass insulation in tomorrow. Wednesday and Thursday the drywall should be put up and hopefully next weekend Dirk and I can paint it! If anyone is just dying to paint a whole house come and join us! Oh also the driveway should be poured this week , can't wait to get rid of some of the mud. Dirk's words of wisdom were to leave the mud because then we wouldn't have to mow the yard. Of course he was joking, I hope!

New house pics!

Below are some of the pics that I took of the inside of the house.
Picture of the front door and the stairs going down to the basement. My favorite thing in the house so far is the front door.
I am standing in the corner of the dining room area looking at the living room (which is on the left of the door going into the garage. The kitchen will be on the right.

More of the living room area.

I now have stairs instead of a ladder to get down to the basement.

Tina standing on the stairs. The opening is going to be cut more but right now they need it closed to work around it. It will look like Carl and Cheryl's stairs for those of you who know what theirs looks like. I also love the cathedral ceilings!

House Update!

Well the house is coming along! The siding is done except by the garage opening. Look at all that mud! What fun that will be until we get grass to grow. The plumber has been working since last week and in about a week -half we should start getting the drywall up! It is looking good so we might still be in by christmas! Our door will have to wait until spring to be finished (painted) because of the weather now but not a big deal. I can't wait for them to get the porch finished too!
