The Link Girls

This past Saturday Addysen and Aisnley came over for a couple hours.  Lexi was so excited she cleaned her room all by herself.  The girls played with Jaxon (our dwarf hamster), played in the toyroom, and then we played Candyland.  We can't wait for their next visit with us.

the girls didn't want me hangin in the toyroom with them so they moved out to the game area to play babies

Lexi made me some coffee and cake from their kitchen :)

.
Ainsley used the microwave to cook and when she took the pot out she said "oh hot", LOL.  It was so cute!!

We had so much fun playing Candyland and having a little snack.

Tabby just loved Addysen and couldn't get enough loving from her.

Rain Forest Project-Tarsier

Lexi had a Rain Forest project this past week (which is a little overboard for Kindergarten but she loved doing it).  They had to put certain things on a poster board for the animal they were given.  I had pictures printed.  Once I got them we started to work on the board.  I did the stencils and then Lexi colored the letters in.  I glued the pictures but had Lexi do almost all of the writing.  She practiced doing the presentation for Grandma and Scott, and Papa Glen so now she knows it by memory.  Such a smart little girl I have..I think I'll keep her :)  Did you know their brains are as big as their eyes!

Sledding 2013

SLEDDING!!  We had so much snow one day that we got all warm in our snow gear and headed outside for some fun.  They love when Daddy pulls them behind the 4-wheeler..and so do I because it's less work for me.

Video of them sledding. Nothing is better then hearing their giggles.

Train Ride and Fun City

The first weekend in February we decided to go to Fun City.  The kids and I rode the train and met Dirk there.  They had so much fun...note to self bring snacks next time because they are expensive on the train, LOL.  Poor Hunter was having an allergic reaction to something because his poor cheeks and body kept breaking out in hives. (you can see his pink cheeks in some of the pictures)  He was pretty much doped up on Benedryl all weekend.

We finally arrived at the hotel so it was dinner and then swimming!!  Of course they had to jump all over the beds first.

my water camera isn't the greatest for action shots so this is the best I could get of Hunter going down the big waterslides.

Lexi loving that she could run and play because the water wasn't too deep.

Saturday was the day of games!  We did the arcade, go carts, and then laser tag.
 playing the big claw game

playing a flight game

Me and Lexi in our go cart.  She was too small to drive one, which she didn't like at all.

I am training my child well choosing the cubbies!

Getting ready for laser tag.  Lexi was scared at first because it's dark with all black light paint.  Once she got the hang of it she was so small you couldn't shoot her vest.

The group of us for laser tag.  Of course the picture would have looked nicer had the lady moved her finger!!

Slumber Party

Lexi's friend Ava had an American Girl slumber party a couple weeks ago.  This was Lexi's first sleep over (other than Grandma's house).  I wasn't sure how she would do.  Jiliane was so great with her..snuggled a little and she was fine.  The girls went sledding, did stuff with their dolls, ate pizza, watched movies, and lots more.  Lexi came home the next day talking about how much fun she had with her friends!!

for some of the girls we made sleeping bags and jammies for their dolls. (my first real sewing project, LOL)

Archery Class

Poor Hunter hasn't had much going on but he did start Archery Class every Saturday.  He loves to do it..plus it means spending time with Daddy.  He knows that the better he gets the closer he gets to really hunting with Daddy and Grandpa Carl!  Unfortunately I only have this cell phone picture because Dirk takes him. He is not a picture taker :)

Roller Skating

Once again Lexi got to do something fun for Girl Scouts...Roller Skating!  She loved it!

Lexi standing on her skates for the first time.

Her skate wheels were pretty tight so they had very little roll so she was able to half walk half skate around the rink.  Perfect for her!  She did so we she didn't even want me with her half of the time.

Addysen, Ava, Lexi, Emma (poor Lexi is just the right height...with skates on, LOL)

and their down...

They kept getting right back up and skating.  I'm sure some of them were sore the next day but they all had a great time!!

Masquerade Ball

The Girl Scouts put on a Masquerade Ball "Daddy/Daughter Dance" as we called it.  Lexi was so excited to go somewhere all dressed up with Daddy.
My lil Peanut all dress up with her mask.

Lexi and Daddy dancing.  Thanks Katie Link for the picture!!

Jaxon the Dwarf Hamster

We got a new family member...Jaxon the Dwarf Hamster!
I let Lexi name the lil guy so I have no idea where she came up with that name.  He is full grown and will not get any bigger than what you see.  He almost looks like a lil mouse with no tail.  He is very cute and the kids love getting him out to play in the ball.  They even help me clean his cage!!

Below:   We stopped at Pet Smart for Tina to get stuff and after lots of begging Lexi came home with this :)
