Trick or Treat

We had a busy night of trick-or-treating. The kids were exhaused when we got home. They loved the goodies everyone gave them and will have fun with them tomorrow. Hunter's favorite part was being "Papa". He thought he was cool stuff. Especially when he got to show him his own squad car with flashing lights.
Hunter "state trooper". Lexi "elephant"
My little cute elephant.

My little trooper. He loved dressing up as papa!!

This is Hunter's squad car. His lights flashed red and all! By the time we took this picture we had one of the lights fall off. The license plate on the car was "7-50 1/2". Papa loved it. He is coming by tomorrow in his uniform and the real squad car so him and hunter can take a picture next to it with both their outfits on!!

Carving Pumpkins

Lexi and Hunter's pumpkins all lit up!
Hunter looking in his pumpkin, he kept wanting to blow out the candle. His smile looks like the one on the pumpkin!

More Colors!

Big area-the color is a tan shade of color. It is not a great picture.

We have color and a garage door!

Below are some of the colors we have got done in the rooms so far. I will post more of the rooms with color as we get them done. We are painting them ourselves so it is not going as fast as we would like it. Only so many hours in a day...
We now have a garage door. From the outside the house looks done... until spring and we landscape the yard, and finish the porch railing, and put up more lighting.

We have the ceilings done with all coats of paint..the walls are primed for color in the kitchen, dining room, and living room area. Let me tell you with this high ceiling the sprayer we got was a big help!!
Hunter's room is an orange color. It is a little bright so we might tone it down on the next coat.

Lexi's room is a cute purple. She will love it!!

Hunter and the potty!

Well it has been a chore to get Hunter potty trained! He hated sitting on the kiddy potty so Daddy taught him how to stand up at the big potty. He has been doing this off and on for a while now with no luck to getting him to do it without getting in/out of the shower (which the warm water was helping him go). WELL this weekend he started going to the bathroom all on his own and no accidents so far!! He even did good at daycare today! So now we are finally in big boy underwear!!! Hopefully Lexi doesn't take as long to get trained as Hunter did.

Oh and now we have a garage door on the house! We are getting closer!!

New house update!!

Well the house is coming along ok. Dirk and I just finished painting the first coat on the cathedral ceiling tonight. That was a chore let me tell you! We have also put the first coat on the two bathrooms, and hallway ceilings. Our bedroom ceiling is all done, two coats!! We still have lots of work to do but it is getting there. Next up getting the first coat on the kids bedroom ceilings.... more to come..

Lexi's Ears

Lexi has had several ear infections in the past months. We took her to the ear doctor again today and he told us she needs tubes put in her ears. They will call us to schedule it soon. The doctor said it only takes about 10 minutes for the whole process, wow is that fast. He said the whole thing should only take about 1 hour and we can leave the same day. With all that said now instead of being worried about the ear problems I am terrified that they have to put our little angel to sleep, even for that short amount of time. She is just so tiny it scares me. Hopefully this whole process will help with her being sick all the time. Keep your fingers crossed...

Lexi's funny faces

My daughter has started to make the funniest faces. I am so glad I had the camera to catch a few of them.
This one she is looking at us like Emma just did something shocking..
I don't even know why she made this face. I think she was yelling because she found the pumkins. What a goofy little girl.

Our Visit to Country Corners

We went to Country Corners today! They have a ton of stuff. They have a playground, pumpkin patch, moon bounce, corn maze, petting zoo, food, cow train ride, and much more. As you can tell by the many pictures below we did alot for one day. The weather was nice and the kids had fun. It was our first trip and we will go back next year for sure! By the end of the trip the kids were tired and sleep before we got out of the parking lot. I would recomend it for people with kids. They would especially love the pumpkin patch were they can pick out their own pumpkins! Hope you enjoy the pictures as much as we enjoyed our day.

This is a picture of the pumpkins they had scattered about (this is not the pumpkin patch though). The childrens corn maze is behind them. They also have a corn maze that is bigger for older kids. I read on certain days they have the haunted maze and also a maze you go through with a flash light because they keep it dark, no lights or scary monsters for that one! That is my kind. I hate haunted things.
Out of many trys this is the best family photo we could get. Lexi was getting tired and cried in the rest of them. Of course I had to be looking at the other camera taking the picture too. Go figure.

Tina, Ryan, and Emma

Grandma wanted to take a picture with the kids. This is the best we could do.

Petting Zoo Time!

Well the patch had a little Petting Zoo. Hunter thought it was ok but he has been to the big zoo's so much it was no big deal to him. Lexi on the other hand was finally old enough to appreciate it.

She found a friend in the pig. She even pet it which I caught with this picture. She loved them. When she turned away and looked at something else the pig started nibbling at her butt. Then when we walked away it followed her along the fence. Too cute! We might have to try and see if Cousin Addy can show her some animals at her daddy's farm some time.
Hunter loved the ducks. Go figure my kid to like the simple animal. They said they will bite and not to put your hands in the fence or try to feed them. He actually listened to them! That was a surprise.

Lexi looking at the goat. She didn't know what to think at first. When we got to the pigs she loosened up.

Uncle Dirk and Emma

Cow Train Ride

They had a bunch of these cow cars hooked together and they were pulled by a tractor. They guy went kind of fast so Hunter couldn't ride by himself. I wasn't sure how Lexi would like it but she laughed the whole ride and Hunter did too!! The cars were pretty small so Daddy has his knees up to his chest. It was funny to watch him squeeze into it!

Playing at the playground near the Pumpkin Patch

The kids had a blast on the playground near the patch.

Hunter kept hanging from the bar and then made Daddy let him go and he would hang for a minute then drop. He loved this.
Hunter on the swing.

Lexi loved the swings. She didn't like going very high but when she got to swinging she laughed the whole time!

Emma laughing the whole time she was on the swing.

Visit to the Pumpkin Patch

We had such a fun day today!! We went to the Pumpkin Patch near Alpha. This kids got to walk through tons of pumpkins and actually pick theirs. Hunter had to pick a big one, although not too big because there were HUGE ones there. Lexi picked a little one that was perfect. We ended up getting out of there with I think 4 pumpkins!

This was one of the pics I took of the patch. Look at all those pumpkins! There were sooo many to choose from.

Hunter sitting on one of the giant pumpkins!

Lexi was so excited to see the pumpkins! She thought is was funny they were shorter than her. Well some of them were anyway! She did try to climb on one of the big ones but had no luck.

Emma with her pumpkins. Isn't she just cute.

We pulled them in the wagon out to the patch. Then we had a wagon that they provided to put the pumpkins in. Of course we let them out to find ones that they liked! They had so much fun.

House Update

Well the drywallers have been busy. They are almost done! Hopefully next week we can start painting!! The pictures below are of the living room, Kitchen, Dining room area. All one big open space. I love the high ceilings.

This is standing in the dining room corner looking at the living room area.
This is the view standing in the corner of the living room. To the left (which you can't see) is the kitchen area. We are looking at the dining room, by the sliding door. The hallway to the bedrooms and on the right of the picture are the stairs going to the basement.
