Landscaping

3 years later and we are still doing stuff to the house.  We finally got the time to landscape our front yard, and when I say we I mean mostly Dirk.  He did a great job picking out everything and getting it done.

The log Jon & Tammy gave Dirk for being in their wedding.  It fit just right out front.  We had already done this area but didn't like the way the rocks looked and I couldn't keep the rose bushes alive.  We decided to start over. LOL

Just in case we don't remember our last name we now have 2 reminders :)

Dirk picked out lights that are ground level so now I don't have to worry about the kids knocking them over and breaking them.

Close view of the front area.  Next spring I will get big ceramic pots to put in between the bushes for flowers.  Now if only I could get grass to grow in the bald spots.... the heat this summer did not help one bit.

Lexi's 4th Birthday (still our Lil Peanut)

Lexi turned 4 this year and she decided she wanted everything Hello Kitty.  Since that is what she wanted that is what Daddy and Mommy got her.  She was so worried about not being our peanut anymore.  When we went to get her yearly physical for daycare the doctor told us she was under average for height and weight.  When he said this she looked at him and said "I'm still a peanut"!  He thought that was the cutest thing and said "yes you are still a peanut".  I think she is a keeper :-)

Our big 4 year old

The new Hello Kitty bedding and wall clings she wanted.  They came after her birthday so she thought she wasn't getting them.  On Friday night when she was gone for a little bit Tina and I cleaned her room and put her bedding on.  She walked in and was so excited to see that she actually got it!

On her birthday she got home from daycare and we had Daddy put this in the driveway and then ring the doorbell.  She walked out and ran to her bike!!

Giving her baby a ride on the bike.  She was a good mommy and buckled the baby in the seat.

So excited to ger her Hello Kitty cake

She really wanted Mommy to make her a Hello Kitty cake so of course I had to search the web and find the cake pan to make it.
